The system activates when the driver puts their vehicle in reverse. The system alerts the driver with a 6-zone variable multi-tone audio pulse. The audio pulse intensity increases and the audio tone changes as the vehicle backs closer to the obstacle.
In addition to the 6-zone variable multi-tone audio pulse, the models include a VDI [voice distance indicator] module. The VDI module uses audible voice to inform the driver (in feet or meter) how close obstacles are from the rear of the vehicle.

Micro2S REVERSING AID IS RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON PASSENGER CARS. THE MICRO3LV IS RECOMMENDED FOR LIGHT VANS, MINI BUSES, SPECIAL UTILITY VEHICLES AND LIGHT TRUCKS WITH A CLOSED BED. THIS SYSTEM IS NOT SUITABLE FOR HEAVY TRUCKS OR ANY OTHER VEHICLE WHERE THE DETECTORS MAY BE OBSTRUCTED OR DAMAGED BY DEBRIS FROM THE VEHICLE.CONTENT.

NOTE.1. THE ACCURACY OF THE SYSTEM AND THE EFFECTIVE WORKING DISTANCE OF THE SYSTEM ARE DIRECTLY INFLUENCED BY BOTH THE SURFACE OF THE TARGET AND THE REFLECTIVE CHARACTERISTIC OF THE TARGET.
2. IF THE TARGET "OBSTACLE" IS A FLAT SURFACE THAT INCLINES AT AN ANGLE TO THE SENSOR, OR A TRIANGULAR OBSTACLE WHERE THE SENSOR IS POINTING TOWARD ONE CORNER OF THIS TRIANGLE, THE RESULTING READING FROM THE DETECTOR MAY BE INACCURATE DUE TO THIS ANGULAR POSITIONING. THIS MAY RESULT IN A NON DETECTION SIGNAL. DRIVERS IN THESE SITUATIONS SHOULD PAY MORE ATTENTION WHILE MOVING THEIR VEHICLES.
FOR BEST SENSOR POSITION PLEASE REFER TO [FIG 2]. EACH DETECTOR MUST BE MOUNTED AIMING STRAIGHT OUT FROM THE VEHICLE. SENSORS MUST NOT AIM DOWN TOWARD THE ROAD SURFACE. ALL SENSORS SHOULD BE MOUNTED WITH EVEN SPACE BETWEEN THEM. IF TWO SENSORS ARE USED, MOUNT THEM NEAR, BUT NOT DIRECTLY AT THE CORNERS OF THE VEHICLE. IF THREE SENSORS ARE USED, MOUNT ONE IN THE CENTER OF THE REAR OR THE VEHICLE AND MOUNT THE OTHER TWO AS STATED ABOVE, WITH THE OPTION OF MOUNTING THEM A LITTLE CLOSER TO THE CORNERS OF THE VEHICLE THAN YOU WOULD IF YOU WERE ONLY INSTALLING TWO. AGAIN, BE CERTAIN SENSORS DO NOT AIM DOWN TOWARD THE ROAD SURFACE. WE DO NOT WANT SENSORS TO DETECT THE ROAD.
TIPS FOR SELECTING BEST POSITION.
SELECT THE BEST POSITION IN THE BACK OF YOUR VEHICLE FOR THE DETECTORS AND TEMPORARY MOUNT THE DETECTORS WITH MASKING TAPE OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ADHESIVE THAT CAN BE EASILY REMOVED LATER. TEMPORARILY CONNECT THE SYSTEM TO A 12-VOLT SOURCE. BACK YOUR VEHICLE UP TO A FLAT SURFACE LIKE A WALL AND CHECK THE SYSTEM PERFORMANCE. ADJUST THE DETECTORS AS NECESSARY IF THE RESULT IS NOT PER REQUIREMENTS.
MOUNTING METHOD.
ONCE THE MOUNTING POSITION IS DETERMINED, MOUNT THE DETECTORS WITH THE DOUBLE SIDED ADHESIVE TAPE PROVIDED. THE BEST-RECOMMENDED POSITION IS ON THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE BOOT/TRUNK COVER OR UNDER OR BESIDE THE TAILLIGHTS AS SHOWN IN FIG [4]. THE LEAD FLAT CABLE CAN EASILY BEND 360° THROUGH THE GAPS OF THE COVER INTO THE BOOT/TRUNK, IF THE DETECTORS ARE MOUNTED ON OR BESIDE THE TAILLIGHTS, THE CABLE MAY BE ROUTED BETWEEN THE CAR BODY AND LIGHT HOUSING INTO THE BOOT/TRUNK. THE FLAT CABLE CAN BE FOLDED TO GO UP, DOWN, LEFT OR RIGHT. DOUBLE SIDE ADHESIVE TAPE IS PROVIDED TO SECURE THE FLAT CABLE TO THE VEHICLE BODY. FOR THE MICRO2LV, HANGERS ARE PROVIDED SO THAT YOU CAN MOUNT THE DETECTORS UNDERNEATH YOUR BUMPER.
[B] MOUNTING OF MAIN UNIT. THE MAIN UNIT CAN BE MOUNTED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE BOOT/TRUNK USING THE ADHESIVE PADS OR WIRE TIES. FOR DETECTORS MOUNTED ON THE BOOT/TRUNK COVER, IT IS BETTER TO MOUNT THE MAIN UNIT UNDERNEATH THE BOOT/TRUNK COVER. [C] MOUNTING OF SPEAKER THE WARNING SPEAKER CAN BE PLACED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WITH DOUBLE SIDED ADHESIVE PADS. WE RECOMMEND PLACING THE SPEAKER ON THE FLAT PLATFORM BETWEEN THE REAR SEAT AND THE BACK WINDOW, OR HIDE IT UNDER THE REAR SEAT. [D] WIRING THE WIRING SYSTEM FOR THE MICROSERIES IS SIMPLE AND EASY. JUST FOLLOW THE WIRING DIAGRAM SHOWN IN [FIG 6]. CONNECT THE RED WIRE TO THE REVERSE LAMP WIRE BY USING THE CRIMPING CONNECTOR. CONNECT THE BLACK WIRE TO ANY GROUND SOURCE. WITH THIS WIRING PROCEDURE, THE SYSTEM WILL AUTOMATICALLY ACTIVATE WHENEVER THE CAR IS DRIVEN IN REVERSE. AN LED ON THE MAIN UNIT INDICATES POWER TO THE SYSTEM.AFTER COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION, EXCESS WIRING BETWEEN THE DETECTORS AND THE MAIN UNIT MAY BE PLACED INTO THE SPACE UNDER THE TOP COVER ON THE MAIN UNIT. WIND THE WIRES SLOWLY INTO THE WIRE COMPARTMENT, AND CLOSE THE TOP COVER AS SHOWN IN [FIG7].
ADJUSTMENT OF WARNING SOUND LEVEL.YOU MAY ADJUST THE SOUND LEVEL OF THE AUDIO WARNING SYSTEM AND THE VDI MODULE LEVEL INDIVIDUALLY THROUGH THE TWO OPENINGS SHOW IN [FIG8].
MUTI-TONE WARNING SYSTEM AND VDI [VOICE DISTANCE INDICATOR] SYSTEM.THERE ARE 6 DIFFERENT MULTI-TONE AUDIO SIGNALS INDICATING 6 DISTANCE ZONES, FROM 2.5 METERS [8 FEET] DOWN TO 0.3 METER [1 FOOT]. THE DRIVER CAN LISTEN TO THE CHANGE IN THE AUDIO PULSE TO IDENTIFY THE CHANGE IN DISTANCE OF ANY OBSTACLES BEHIND THE VEHICLE.
IN ADDITION TO THE MULTI-TONE SIGNAL MENTIONED ABOVE, THE VDI WILL SIMULTANEOUSLY INFORM THE DRIVER TO THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE VEHICLE AND THE OBSTACLE IN EITHER FEET OR METERS, AS SHOWN IN [FIG9]
BLIND AREAS ALERTING SIGNALS.THE MICRO-2S IS A TWO DETECTOR SYSTEM. THERE ARE TWO SMALL TRIANGULAR SHAPED AREAS CALLED BLIND DETECTING AREA. THESE BLIND AREAS ARE LOCATED BOTH ON THE SIDES AND IN BETWEEN THE DETECTORS. REFERRING TO FIG [1], WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE, IF A SMALL OBJECT FALLS INTO EITHER OF THESE BLIND AREAS, THE DRIVER WILL HEAR "OBJECT IN BLIND AREA" TOGETHER WITH THE ALERTING SOUND. TO MINIMIZE BLIND DETECTING AREAS, WE RECOMMEND INSTALLING EXTRA DETECTORS.
OPERATION AND TESTING.
[1] BACK YOUR CAR APPROX. 5 METERS (15 FEET) FROM A WALL OR FLAT VERTICAL SURFACE.
[2] SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO REVERSE GEAR. THE DEVICE WILL ACTIVATE AUTOMATICALLY.
[3] DRIVE BACKWARD SLOWLY.
[4] AS YOUR CAR REACHES THE EFFECTIVE DISTANCE OF 2.5 METERS [8 FEET] OR BELOW, THE SYSTEM WILL BEGIN TO EMIT A WARNING SOUND [FIG 9] AND YOU WILL HEAR A VOCALIZED DISTANCE INDICATOR.
[5] CONTINUE TO BACK YOUR VEHICLE UNTIL YOU HEAR A MULTI-TONE SIGNAL. THIS INDICATES YOUR DISTANCE TO THE OBSTACLE TO BE ONE METER [3 FEET] OR BELOW. CONTINUE TO MOVE YOUR VEHICLE BACKWARD SLOWLY UNTIL YOU HEAR A HIGHER FREQUENCY TWO TONE SIGNAL. THIS NEW SIGNAL IS INDICATING THAT YOUR DISTANCE IS NOW 0.3 METERS [2 FEET] OR BELOW. AT THE SAME TIME, THE DRIVER WILL HEAR A VOCALIZED DISTANCE INDICATOR.
[6] CONTINUE TO BACK YOUR VEHICLE VERY SLOWLY UNTIL YOU HEAR "V-WOO---- V-WOO". STOP YOUR CAR IMMEDIATELY. THIS IS THE NEAREST DETECTING DISTANCE OF THE DEVICE - 0.3 METER [ONE FOOT]. YOU WILL HEAR THE AUDIO VOICE INDICATE "CRASH" AT THIS STATUS.
AFTER COMPLETING THE ABOVE PROCEDURE, THE INSTALLATION AND TESTING OF YOUR BACKUP AID IS COMPLETE. THE DEVICE IS READY FOR USE.
